In an effort to step up the fight against gender based violence, Rapusha Productions has launched the #KhulumaBreakTheSilence campaign.
"We aim to not only bring change by carrying this campaign to a greater level but we hope to inspire other men and women to play a more significant role in our fight against abuse and other related matters", said Rapusha Productions head, Katlego Molefe.
Cases of abuse and trafficking have spiked over the last few years, not only in Africa but all over the globe and it is with this in mind that the campaign came to life.
"This is campaign that we hope will go a long way in fighting against women and children abuse and trafficking, among other issues.
"It takes us back to the movement of "Ubuntu" when men and women stood together against abuse and crime. But, today women and children are afraid of the one gender that should be standing verbally and physically against human trafficking", said Molefe.
#Khuluma/BreakingTheSilence is also backed by individuals and organisations such as
OT Photography, Rapusha Production Models, Molebogeng Taele, Mosa Motaung, Anele Mbatha, Lesego "Layla" Aiseng and Urban Craft magazine.
"We have managed to bring a lot of individuals and organizations to the table and we definitely would also like to work with the likes of Mogale FM, Westside FM and CWP (Community Working Program), among others to help/assist with raising awareness", said Molefe.
