Gweru based rapper Flizzy Breezy has confirmed that work on the video to his brand new track and potential hit, "NGEKE", had begun and that fans can expect to catch a glimpse of it before the end of October.
" We have already started shooting scenes for the video. We started as early as the 1st of October. The majority of the work has already been done and we only have a few more scenes left to shoot before the video goes into editing.
" The video is being shot somewhere here in Gweru in a location i can not disclose as yet as it is a surprise for my fans but rest assured, they are going to be amazed by the visuals", he said.
NGEKE" is the first single from his forthcoming debut 5-track EP called "TribAl X " and is targeted at his ditractors (real and imagined), to whom he wants the message to be clear, "as long as I am alive my haters will never be Ok.......".
(NGEKE is a Ndebele word which means 'never').
The 19 year old rapper whose real name is Brilliant Moyo said that he was going 'above and beyond' in his mission to put out something that is up to scratch and in line with international standards.
"We trying to put out some really 'dope' stuff and that is why we acquired the services of arguably Gweru's best video producer and director, Blessing Gotora ( well known in the entertainment circles as Boss B).
" It is amazing being able to work with this guy and I cant wait for the fans to witness this work of art when its completed", he said.
The advent of other options for local artists in the form of Zambezi Tv and the recently launched Trace Tv Africa, among others, has meant that more and more of our own are investing a lot in their videos in order to compete with the rest of Africa and Flizzy Breezy is no exception.
"We have plans for submitting this forth coming video to other stations besides zbc tvtv are definitely there. We feel like we can stand our own ground and challenge for honours at home and beyond our boarders with this new video.
" A big shout out to my mates, Soull Breezy, KiD Mj On tha Beat and Smooz beats who play cameos in the video", said Flizzy.
Most radio listeners will be familiar with his hit song titled "HONA" featuring inno B which received considerable airplay on the local stations, more especially on Power FM.
The remix to "HONA" which featured various other upcoming acts across the country from the likes of Kritic, Igwe,Decarpo, whizzla, young target to inno B also stood its own ground on the airwaves.
The accompanying video to the single made it onto the national broadcaster, Zbc tv's various music video shows and currently Flizzy features on YGT's TOP 10 with a video titled "HAVAFARE" a collaboration with fellow artists Alei and Soull Breezybreezy.
