Sydney Kwirirai aka Sydafire Kay The Riddim Ryder is releasing
a single titled 'Handingazvigone' at the end of November.
The 23year old Chitungwiza based dance-hall artist said that he
hoped the fans can identify with the song and sing along with him this festive season.
He spoke to Urban Craft magazine about the single, his hopes
and aspirations. Here is more on what he had to say;
What was the inspiration behind this song?
Actually the reason why I did this track was because I was
asking God to lead me through and make his presence felt and known in my life's
journey.
Just like everyone else, I am well-aware that without God
nothing is possible.....so i was asking him to help me to stay away from
sin...to give me a better standard of living as well.....
Who produced the song?
The recording, mixing and mastering of this song was done by
producer, Jeezy Jena
Can we expect a mix-tape or album from you
soon?
For now i don't have any album or mix-tape, I have only been releasing
singles but rest assured that next year a debut album and mix-tape are coming.
Who inspires you?
Jamaican dancehall artist, Demarco is my main source of inspiration,
I would like to think that he is one of the best talented musicians worldwide.
Where and when did this music journey start?
To me, music is an inborn thing so if i said that I could tell
you the exact year that i started singing then i would be lying. I can tell you
the year i started recording though.......i started recording in 2010, working
with such producers as Dr clarence, Blinx and Everlast.
What are your goals?
I aiming high and the ultimate goal is for my music to be
heard all over the world. I want to be able to touch hearts, open minds and inspire
people everywhere.
Like i said before, music is an inborn thing...so by being a
musician I am just completing my mission.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time
In 5 yrs time I believe that by then I would have taken over
this music industry and i will have claimed the title of 'king of dance-hall' by
then and not only in Zimbabwe but the African continent at large.
Any message for your fans and music lovers out
there?
My message to the fans is Keeping supporting and believing in
us, we are the future of the industry....mukaramba muchindisimbisa ndosvika
pamunoda ndisvike
