'Inoita', according to the rapper is "an affirmative term popular in most parts of Harare and it centers around a positive 'anything goes' attitude especially during these trying times......" and that is exactly what the track itself reinforces.
The 22-year old and Highfields, Harare-based rapper said that it had always been his dream to put together such a song where 'hiphop meets dancehall' and that he felt satisfied with the end result.
"Well, I have always wanted to fuse hip hop with dancehall and who better to do it with than Souljah luv......I also felt like Cal_Vin would appeal to the Bulawayo hip hop audience.
"I approached Souljah luv and his management team with the idea I had and they were happy to be part of it...while in the middle of the recording sessions Cal_Vin walked in and well the rest is history", he said.
The song, is set to officially be released some time later this week.
Shiddoh Brown went on to add that fans can also look forward to a 'blockbuster visual' as plans to shoot an accompanying video to 'INOITA' were already underway.
" I want to assure all the fans, hip hop and dancehall, that they are not going to be disappointed. We want to give them a video that is just as exceptional as the track itself.
"This song is a milestone in my career and through the video I hope I can give the fans, my family and myself something to savour this moment with", said the hip hop artist.
His other collaboration of note was the single titled "Machinda" which featured fellow rappers, Ti gonzi and Schingy.
He is currently working on a yet_to_be_titled debut album, which is slated for release sometime later on this year.
As to what inspired him to become a rapper, Tinaye said he fell in love with the genre during his formative years and decided from thereon that hip hop was the best medium for him to express himself.
"Well I grew up in a family where hip hop was the core genre listened to by my 3 elder brothers.. because of this i discovered the emotion and honesty which hip hop carried.
" It is a genre built with the main purpose of expressing emotion and at the same time speaking out against social ills and grievances", he said.
For an artist who described his rapping style as 'strange', the rapper went on to say,
"I believe I have a different style from other rappers..I also try to fuse various elements from other genres for example, the mbira, as well as soulful vocals..I'd also like to think of myself as a voice for my generation as my raps focus on the day to day life of a Zimbabwean youth", said Shiddoh Brown.
Besides music, he is also an engineering student at a local college.
