by Jane Munaki Nkomo

As we wrap up the final episode of our conversation on the growth and rise of Hiphop in Zimbabwe we bring King Aktive to the table,a new skool rapper who made waves with his single _Ndakumberi_  he is also featured on the _hatiterere_  joint by Schingy teambho,King Aktive gave us his 5/5

You are one of the new skool rap/Hiphop artists,do you think that your content has enough drive to contribute to the growth of Zim Hiphop?

Yes it has because the culture is changing by the day and as a new skool artist im dishing out material which is relevant at this very moment so my contribution is legit

How important is mentorship from Rap/Hiphop Ogs important to you and other new skool rappers?

That i don't know because i haven't heard or came across a successfull local HipHop Org in Zim so there's no mentorship i've witnessed yet.

Do you have enough platforms to showcase your talents as Hiphop artists?

Plenty but lack of funding and a bit of sabotage by the owners/founders,hosts of these platforms.

What makes the Hiphop culture in Zimbabwe?

Number 1 its dressing, the way you represent yourself speaks for itself that this is hiphop then comes the lingo & the music.

New skool rappers are sometimes blamed for polluting the hiphop industry  with low quality music productions, what is your take on that?

When it comes to production quality its the artists fault because if he/she is serious with art they should go to proffesional studios/producers.But now with how our economy is like l,a few upcoming artists can afford such studios & producers so they go for the cheap low quality productions which is not the way to go,so its not really the new cats fault, even the big guns are going for low costs production but the fact that their names are already out there makes the whack material good, nothing is fair outchea.
