The ceremony started around 16:38pm, as the sun set the red carpet was live and the celebrities were being interviewed
The first performance was vey energetic with more than 10 young stars performing. Kadder and Khoi Khoi lit up the stage with the performance of 'Yes l am'. The rest of the performances were exceptional too and no doubt the Kalanga Child performance was far by the best of them all.
My most heartflet moment was when Cont Mhlanga was given a Lifetime Achievement award and a plough courtsey of Zim Plough.
There was a surprise award that was given to Ben for attending the majority of events in Bulawayo and in his speech he stated that he had travelled to areas like Vic Falls, Masvingo and Harare just to be entertained by our talented artists.
One of the funniest moments at the Bulawayo Arts Awards came when SkyzMetro FM host, Patience Phiri drank an Ingwebu Brew Beer and Mzoe 7 came wearing a grey fur-like night gown written GAGAGUGU (in red) on his back, the sneakers complimented the look and he just had to go all fancy by giving all his crew Mzoe 7 signature animation cups which were in the colour red as well and finally when Madlela asked the mayor of Bulawayo for a stand to make a show.
The most entertaining moment was probably watching CaL_Vin and Madlela scooping awards over and over again.
Overall, the event was extremely good and entertaining, it was well planned. There were over 1k tickets that were sold!
