ZINNYCATED EMBARKS ON 'ALL ABOUT KRAZY' TOUR

In an effort to promote her brand, 23 year old Soweto born rapper, Zinhle Ntsele AKA Zinnycated is set to embark on a nationwide tour starting this April, which she has aptly named 'All About Krazy'.

That, of course, is also the title to her brand new 8-track offering released on the 24th of December 2016, an EP which, according to Zinnycated has a touch of everything from reggae, kwaito, kasirap to hiphop itself.

The All About Krazy tour will take Zinnycated around some of South Africa's major cities where she will give fans the chance to sample her latest music.

The rapper/songwriter/dancer/singer/model professionally started recording in 2011 and continues to make inroads into the hiphop industry.

Having released her first mixtape in 2013 called, 'From Sessions To Spotlights', the young woman has since then been busy perfecting her art, perfoming and recording.

So talented is the female emcee that even Hype Magazine took notice! Zinnycated was featured in the SA hip hop magazine's Dec/Jan issue of 2012.

We caught up with the rapper who is also a graduate from the University of Johannesburg where she holds a BA Degree in Public Management and Governance and here is more on what she had to say.

How many cities will your tour be comprised of? Can you list some of those cities and venues (and dates, if possible)

Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga. Johannesburg, Standerton and Durban, to mention a few.

What is the duration of your tour and when/where will it start?

Roughly 7months because the tour will be from April till December. It will officially kick off on April 29 in Johannesburg Maboneng precinct.

What is your primary reason for embarking on such a tour?

The primary reason for embarking on this tour is to reach a wider audience and make a greater impact and for people in other places to experience me doing wat I do best live.

Do you have any opening/supporting acts that you are taking with you on this tour?

Yes I have gathered a few female rappers to go with me on tour to have a 50/50 effect with same quantity of men and women performing.

Will you strictly be sampling songs from the new EP or you will make room for the old songs as well?

I will be performing songs from the new EP but I will also not forget to give the fans a feel of their favourites from my earlier releases.

How has the response from the fans been to your latest EP so far? 

The fans have shown quite a great response to the EP because they have been requesting for it and ordering it since its official release.

Which ones would you say are the standout tracks that you are looking forward to perfoming for the fans?

For me, the standout tracks would probably be track 7, which is called 'Women', track 1 called 'Akekho' and track 5 called 'Grinding' but I love the EP as whole and I am sure the fans will do as well.

What can the fans expect from you on this tour?

The tour is called All About Krazy, which is the name of my EP, so the fans can expect krazyness, madness, fun, fulfillment, and lots of dancing and singing along

What preparations have you done or put in place for this tour?

I brought together my team and we did a research in regards to where my fans are located and where my fans want me to perform. After that I looked into the dates and which venues I can use to host the shows closest to my fans... after securing the dates and venues I got female rappers who were interested in participating in the tour to get in touch with me and I definitely made sure that I enlisted crowd pullers as supporting acts.

Any special message to your fans?

To the fans I would like to say, thanks for the continued support and belief in me and my talents. Thanks for the motivation and always being there for me. Without you, I am nothing, I am who I am because of you all!!!

Besides the EP and this upcoming tour, what else are you working on for 2017?

I am working on dropping a single and shooting a music video. My plan is to also start working on getting on radio and working on my upcoming album for next year.
