By Tawanda Ngena

Local artist Mostaff Mutiwa, better known as Chief Mostivity is dropping a brand new album titled 'Activity 4 Real' at the end of October.

According to Chief MostivityMostivity himself, the 12-track album will be launched in the capital at the City Sports Bar, but not before a pre-launch party slated for the 21st of October in Epworth at which he will be ably supported by friends and fellow artists who include, Kinnah, Hwindi President, Ras Caleb, Empress CC, Magikal and Ras Pompy, to mention a few.
"To celebrate my fifth album, we are going to add a pre-launch party to the mix before the official launch.
" The idea of course is to take the music to the fans with whom we plan to interact with whilst sharing with them this new offering", said Mostaff.
With four albums already under his belt, most of which spawned hits for the young man with songs like 'Undinyorere Tsamba', 'Usadaro Mkoma', 'Dai Ndakaziva' featuring comedian-cum musician Freddy 'Kapfupi' Manjalima, 'Ndiwe Wakandiramba' and 'Nyoka neGavi, a collaboration with Lady Squanda, a lot is expected.

As to what the title of his album meant, the musician said " it means chiitiko chemachomwadi". Loosely translated it means an 'actual happening'.
"I wanted my album to speak to a wide audience, in that sense, it speaks on an even wider range of themes and topics.
"It talks about our day to day social life, its trials and tribulations, strengthening others during trying times plus there are a few love and prezha"mafaro" (party) songs in there as well", he said.

As a relatively unknown entity at some point in his career, the artist said that he knew how important it was to give back and one of the ways of doing that is giving other upcoming names a chance to be heard, especially when it comes to collaborations.
"The fans can look forward to some exciting collaborations as well. This time I didn't want to work with any big names  though,  I wanted previously unheard voices, I wanted to give them a chance to be heard just like I was given.
"I did a song with this fantastic new talent called Bonto Man, he is the young brother to Killer Tee and I am sure anyone listening to the song will agree with me as to just how talented he is. The other collaboration I did was one with Caitano who is also my young brother based in Mozambique", he said.

Chief Mostivity grew up in kadoma and that is where he started singing. He said his journey, musicwise, began way back in 2006 whilst he was still doing his Ordinary Level education.
"I once stayed in Epworth with kapfupi at his house for more than three months in 2011. He did help me back then as much as he still does even today.
"I am grateful for his presence in my life. I have learnt quite a lot from him", said Mutiwa.

He said he drew inspiration from the likes of Ngoni Kambarami, Knox and P-square.
